The T5R 2013 Event in the woods
This is not a public event but a private function, you have to be a T5R
club member to attend. You can join the T5R club at anytime including
at the event. Membership is free and no strings attached. There is a
reason for this :)
Everyone has ask what is the T5R Club....... Well its the folks that
come to our yearly cookout! I have tried this cook out and event at
several different times of the year and have settled on the Second
Saturday of every October from this year moving forward. Its a off
weekend with no holidays, its a cooler time of year ( Anyone remember
last years 108 degree's at the cookout :)
The 2013 Event in the Woods will be our biggest yet. We have one
BlueGrass Band band confirmed to play and are working on a second.
There will be several demonstrations by a diverse group of
craftspeople, cooks, growers, and artist from Southern IL.
The food/dinner will be a Pot Luck style meal and everyone is
encouraged to bring their special dish for the board.
At present the following demonstrations are confirmed.
Cheese Making
Bread Making
Natural Weed Control
Natural Pest Control
How Mike Burns stuff on the Grill.
A Band Mill sawmill Demo
Soap Making
Hay Rides around the T5R
Cooking with a dutch oven on a open fire.
If you have a idea for a demo or something to speak about please
send me a Email mike@thunder5ranch.com or give me a call

with you ASAP. Or see me at Zeigler, Carterville, or the Carbondale
farmers markets.
If you would like to set up a tent and offer your products for sale in
addition to a demo it should not be a problem.
The goal is to make this a fun and informative day for everyone.
The Gate opens at 9AM and the plan is to shut it down around 10PM
as we get closer to the Event in the Woods a schedule of demos and
activities will be made available.
